Meeting highlights from the post-school access community of practice held on 1 August 2019. At this meeting Simon Trupp, Co-CEO of the Ikusasa Student Financial Aid Programme (ISFAP), shared ISFAP’s model which is designed to sustainably cater for the costs and broader needs of South Africa’s ‘missing middle’ students. Murray Hofmeyr of Study Trust and Lorraine Gumede of the Rural Education Access Programme (REAP) then took the CoP through key issues in bursary management and student support, and how these have changed, or are changing, in response to developments in the funding sector.
