The MP ECD CoP looked into the attendance of children in ECD programmes as it had earlier been identified that ECD programmes were not accommodating as many children even though the sector had been reopened. There was also a focus on progress made in the function shift and what the plans were in terms of pertinent issues such as registration and qualifications under the function shift.
