School Leadership

Learnings from a multi-layered intervention

Currently in its third year of a five year implementation, the BRIDGE-Standard Bank Tutuwa Community Foundation Programme has yielded a number of lessons. The Programme aims to improve learner outcomes by providing various forms of support through empowering school leaders in nine schools – principals, heads of departments and teachers. This is done through a combination of mentorship, professional learning communities (PLCs) and peer review. This Lessons Learned knowledge product explores the learnings in various activity categories, both pre-Covid-19 and during the pandemic in 2020.
