This round table discussion focused on Early Childhood Development (ECD) workforce and was organised and hosted by the Department of Basic Education (DBE), Department of Higher Education and Training (DHET)and UNICEF. The purpose of the round table was to discuss the current status, development and future of the ECD workforce in South Africa (SA) with regards to qualifications, working conditions and professionalisation.
