When we look towards 2021, a major concern in education is the impact that learning losses and backlogs will have on new and returning learners at all levels of schooling. What does it mean for curriculum planning and progression? How will gaps coming through from 2020 affect learners and teaching practice? These key questions in turn raise critical issues for evaluators. M&E plans and practices will need to be adjusted against new baselines in relation to Covid-19 impacts. This M&E CoP addressed current M&E thinking and research on this issue, under the theme ‘Moving from crisis to sustainable change: the role of M&E’.
